Why is it mostly whites in MMA/Martial Arts gyms?

Looking for a Muay Thai gym. Maybe I'm wrong and I'm just basing this off pictures, because the gym I want to try may have a good number of blacks. Otherwise, there seems to be a lack of black men and women going to these places

Are we just mostly boxers? Or is it just my area? I'm in Illinois so it could just be that.

If you got the time and money, travel to the country of origin for awhile if your serious.

My homie went to Thailand for awhile to train Muy Thai.

MMA costs a lot of time and money, and the average non-white person in America doesn't have much of either. It's also partially a location thing probably. The gym I trained at during college had a decent amount of black folk, Brazilians and other latinos. My gym was in an urban area and owned by a black dude. Plus the gym was geared more towards fighters than the average school.
