Why is it that in every Zelda they give you the same weapons?

Why aren't they more creative? I mean in OOT they gave you a few weapons thst were different, but in most other Zelda games they don't. Like right now I'm playing Windwaker HD and they're giving me the same boring wrapond. I just got the master sword.

The most creative was Wind Waker (much to my chagrin), then again, that's probably the only good thing about that game. Taking weapons from bosses was creative and worth learning proper timing. Twilight Princess also stepped the game up with a new style of fighting. If it ain't broke and all that, developers like leaning on their cash cows ala Pokemon, change it by adding more rudimentary facets and keep sellin em. To be fair however, the Zelda series covers every weapon and or item one would need; A boomerang/projectile, shield, sword, ocarina, bombs. If you take a look at most if not all adventure games, that's all it boils down to; a projectile weapon, and a zipline-grapnel hook of some kind.

Because every Zelda is pretty much a retooling of the classic Zelda formula

Because the weapons they have are already used in such a widely varied way that it's hard to come up with new ones that don't feel unnecessary?

You get the bow and arrow too right? Along with the swords, the bombs, the hammer and the shield.
