Because of the leadership of Maynard Jackson, Atlanta area became one of the Black business-friendly and Black professional-friendly metro areas in the country in the 1980s.
Low cost of living and entire communities of successful Black people made it a popular place for Black people seeking to relocate. Im sure that's why Keith Sweat, Bobby Brown, and later Erick Sermon moved down there...and helped get entertainment industry popping down there.

only thing black I knew Dallas for was Tony Dorsett ..and the rest of the black Cowboy football players

As for Charlotte all I knew of was the CIAA and the Bobcats

Music Scene outside of the booty shaking shyt?

We know the worst hoods, clubs, dope boys, fashions etc of the places we never stepped foot in

I just feel like not nearly as much is known about ATL as other major cities
