Why is pulling women from social media seen as different/“cooler” than dating apps?

It’s the same medium (the internet) is it not? :patrice:

And you’re still judging each other off a somewhat made up online presence/personality that neither of you might have in real life.

How is liking a shorties pics and DMing her any different than swiping right on a cute/funny woman and chatting with her on Tinder/Bumble/Hinge, etc.?

I pull in both and real life so :hubie: no spite or bitterness at all. I just don’t understand how some people view dating apps like that.

I've never heard a single person in 2022 saying pulling women from social media is "cooler", might've heard that back in 2012 but not today.

But with that said, dating apps are only for dating, social media is for whatever you want it to be, you're just expressing yourself and whoever fukks with it fukks with it. It's a little more "natural" I suppose. But yeah, same difference at the end of the day.

I mean it's basically the same at this point. though for a lot of chicks the dating apps are pipelines to their IG

Those same chicks have Tinder profiles that act as adverts telling you to go find them on IG as "they're never on Tinder or Bumble" :mjlol:

The thirst for followers and the wrong kind of attention from these broads is far and all-encompassing.

This is the "no-effort" generation. But this is also coincidentally the "fake it til you make it" generation.

If people can have a successful relationship that they seemingly put no effort into actually attaining, they feel like they did their job.

Times have changed, so why people still fronting on dating apps is cool, I dunno. Life is so damn busy AND so damn virtual as it is, as long as y'all end up meeting in real life and fukking, does it really matter?

Dating app = you're there to date / find someone new

Social media = you're there to share your data and become zombies be yourself and express interests

Women don't approach men (even though some may want to) for fear of the perception of looking desperate. In a lot of cases, perception is more important than reality. And with that, the perception of swiping on a dating app vs DMing on social media is just more organic and natural, which may bring for better matches and not be looked upon as just actively looking for some ass
