Street fighter is the most main stream fgc esports title only cause capcom can't support Marvel. Once Infinite comes out Marvel will most likely be bigger as a esports game. Not to mention the popoffs are MUCH more frequent in Marvel
But yea K brad the homie. He a good dude but he takes his trash talk seriously. Wolfkrone beat him the last 2 times and K brad labbed it up and brought it home yesterday.

Bingo. And proliferation of the genre. This franchise has been around since the arcade scene, made a massively successful jump to the SNES and stayed on consoles ever since. It would require a lil bit of saving, but anyone could get into it. Online scene wasn't available or necessary till like 08. Games like CS:Go required a high-end PC when it first came out, making it's competitive scene development very insulated..and inclusive as a result.
That's changing though. There's tons of diversity in other big eSport titles like League, Overwatch, etc.

The Online scene is NOT welcoming for blacks.

Even if your really good, to be able to sit through and have to deal with some of the stuff that's going to come out of white peoples mouths when it comes to other esports...nah. I' salute the 1st popping brother that doesn't deal with racism from whites in esports and stands up to it while holding on to a mass following.
They like to pretend that the racism is trolling or its "not that serious"
Play a game of overwatch or dota or LoL or any FPS.... its really disgusting.
Fighters have all been more of a black thing and mostly because of accessibility of arcades and things like that. Back in mid 90's the arcade was actually a spot where "thugs and hoodlums" hung out near or at. So you had alot of black and white people that really weren't the best of people in arcades playing fighters. That has somewhat carried over to today.... the FGC is way more open armed now though.
Mk had the weirdo white kids
Sf had a mix
Marvel had the thugs
tekken had the try hard cool kids
Kof had the anime nerds

Sure, but that's universally applicable to every genre. XBL and PSN just got a lot of 12-year-old racists. It sucks. Party chat is a saving grace.
Growing up there was this cell phone shop that had Marvel vs street fighter, and next door was a tire shop that had Marvel vs Capcom. We spent so much time there after school.
And youre right, even the most thuggish dudes would be playing all day too
