Someone else made the point that the reason drake is the main discussed topic here even though people hardly want to discuss him is because the booth doesnt know any modern day hiphop acts outside of him

People are still trying to make the narrative of jayz vs nas even though they have been cool for a decade, talking about 50 cent :50andsick:, and everything else borderline flops because the booth has never heard of them

The booth only learned who vic and chance were this year, they think carti, the migos, young thug and 2 chainz are the same person, etc.

How did this happen?

Hiphop is washed.
Bingo. That's why the booth is washed.

Which leads to people talking more about the artists they don't like than the artists they do like.

And it also leads to people talking more about the past than the present cause the past delivered more quality over quantity
The world is washed
I agree with you here.

And yo, here is the thing, we could talk about dope hip-hop on here and dope music out here that's NEW and there's tons of that. But we all know what happens when we post about good music the people should here. The threads do two pages and their own the third page of this sub-forum buried by the endless threads about fukkery and gossip. Like I really feel like that's what has happened to hip-hop discussion boards in this period. People would rather talk about some male gossip shyt like trying to clear the air on a situation with rappers that no one cares about for 15+ years, about some rapper groupie thot, or social media fukkery/drama rappers bring than actual music cause the actual music, while it may be good, is subpar and so formulaic and clone like that it's in the background. The last thing people care about is the music in this era and it's beyond obvious.

The only thing that can save dis board is a 90's sub section.
It'll probably just end up like the lounge as time goes on; rarely frequented with threads with no more than 2 pages of replies. As that generation gets older they'll just stop posting. It happens. Most of us are in our 30s now. The forum game is for young kids. I'd say this board is composed of dudes mainly from 18-26/27. Most of them were too young to care about the 90s or were in diapers or not even alive. So here we are, the rap on here reflects the rap they like which is made by people their same age hence the "fukk the hatin ass old nikkas" mentality on here and clashes between the old and young.

How about you link up your top 10 posts in the booth so we can see what kinda conversation you're contributing to un-wash the coli.

You talking about modern acts, you nikkas don't really care about who/what's new...you just want people to feature the clowns you dikkride. People get to posting dope rappers on here and the threads go tripple wood. Not enough fukkery or ignorance to attract the kind of attention of the 'modern' day rap fan.

And what would that look like?

Is 90's rap discussion really taking up that much room and blockin out all the so called dope new hip hop acts that aren't getting any shine? :mjlol:

nikkas saying Hip Hop as a culture is washed...nah, The Booth is washed because the nikkas that post here ain't really Hip Hop like that, look at the fukk ass threads that get featured.
