Knowing the assailants are of color, the media is trying to align this event with the greatest terrorist attack on US soil and, inherently, aligning black folks with terrorism and our supposed thirst to kill the inherent "protectors" of our communities, causing greater white fear, resentment and, ultimately, retaliation.
