This is what happens when you have wrestlers with poor mic skills and you don't like managers, it's easier to bring up real life situations than just creatively sell a match through storytelling. Triple H is the biggest offender because he knows better than this.

It's based on Vince's obsession with "mainstream" approval. I saw online that they had the Weekend Update guys on Raw. He's hoping that they bring some of that audience, and assumes that their first complaint will be "but it's fake, though", as if most people don't engage and buy in to at least one product/form of entertainment that requires suspension of disbelief. The hope is that people will latch on to the "real" storylines, and stay for the other shyt.
