well this all started with the kidnapping that's what I was referring to. And you're getting me wrong I'm not pro-israeli.

well quit pulling bullshyt and engaging an enemy that's much stronger. maybe they'll remember this next time hamas wants to pull some bullshyt, but I doubt it.
why doesnt hamas stop?
i mean of course i understand if israel is seriously annexing and moving into their territory, is that the case? surely hamas isnt trying to gain ground
i'm pretty sure in the 100 yrs of the federal reserve thread you were defending them ppl..show me one post where I defend Israel. I've consistently said fukk both sides.
rep this man or else get negged...Hamas is a symptom of the occupation. They formed in 1987 before the first intifada. This is after 20 years of military occupation. We're at 47 years now. 66 years after the Nakba.
The Palestinians have tried just about everything. Resistance, non-violence, you name it and they still will use all avenues to get their basic rights.
The Palestinian Authority has basically surrendered and done everything the Israelis have asked of them and they still are humiliated in the West Bank. Abbas has even given up the right of return and they've basically sold their own people out.
The best Palestinian leaders are held up in Israeli jails conveniently
Both sides need to show restraint![]()

fah spazzed out@Marvel Israel has one of the biggest atheist/agnostic proportion to population in the world.
Sharon, Ben Gurion, Netanyahu, Begin, Shamir, Rabin are all Sabra
the first and 2nd aliyah were dominated by militant athiests.
The Kibbutizim and Moshavim were all part of this millitantly athiestic environment so their upbringing would be with little to no religion.
So we can assume that they are agnostic/athiest due to this.
Its like if someone was brought up in a Muslim environment you would assume he would be a muslim right?
so the likelihood of him turning agonstic or athiest in later life would be small.
Same trends here.
Most of the first and second generation ashkhenazim(northern European mostly Russian/polish and german) were rasied like this. Most White Jews you'll meet aren't really devout. A generalization, yes, but from the Israelis I've encountered that's the case.
After 1948, there was a flood of Jews from the Middle East; the Mizrahis mostly from Iraq, Egypt, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, and Yemen. The Arab Jews. These Jews are more devout from what I've experienced.
The Falashas from Ethiopia have come more recently. Word to @2Quik4UHoes
These Jews were as religious as the Palestinians but they make up around half the population.
The 1.5 million Russian Jews that came after 1990 are just the like the first generation not really religous in any way or form. They have brought this Soviet era mentality with regards to minorities and governance. We're seeing that with the more extremism going around the Knsset.
Look at the rightwing Avigdor Lieberman... he came from russia in the 90s and he has stated that he is not religious at all. Of course he isn't... He lived in the Soviet Union his whole life where religion was squashed.
