Liberals get discouraged too early and too easily. People are ready to bail out on the Biden run 9 months in. Dudes checking out because benefits ran out after 7-8 months. I can't believe his job approval is Trump level after we all just lived through what the worst president in history looks like.

Like people think a 50+1 Senate majority is total control of legislation. We're literally cutting down these 2 infrastructure bills by 60% because of 2 senators. The mentality of Democrats should be "make sure we get enough progressives elected in 2022 so we can bush Sinema and Manchin".

liberals cant have shyt because their coalition includes people who are diametrically opposed to each other - often, this breaks down into: the most marginalized people in society + the special interests that are largely responsible for their marginalization. there is no way to keep that together and serve both well. somebody must be sacrificed or given watered down policy. this will always leave people disgruntled and underserved.

conservatives have coalitions with people who largely are harmonious. no matter how insane, they move with one accord and punch above their weight. being ignorant, spiteful and bigoted is pretty compatible with corporate interests.

business people exploit labor, especially marginalized labor. that is the kind of labor that has less barganing power. illegal immigrants are the most extreme version of this, but also having women and blacks that you can systemically underpay for equal performance is profitable. also, look at how right wing messages were favored at facebook. it was more profitable, so they let facebook damage society in a right wing direction. subprime loans were called "ghetto loans" and were given to blacks with good credit. look at international business; right wingers love violence and the military. military violence helps corporations exploit resources globally and the never ending arms race helps them exploit tax dollars directly. i can go on and on...

i agree with getting more progressives elected, but the corporate interests always work against that. the DNC is responsible for the type of candidates who get the major push behind them. when you look at how people like AOC, bernie, nina turner or cori bush are treated, you clearly see where the power is and what the power wants.

Yeah, Dems aren't about anything more than they are about collecting donations and lobbying $. That's their priority if doing anything for the American people gets in the way of that it's not gonna happen.
You can't beat Republicans by just being slightly better than them. You have to be the opposite of them. Dems ain't interested in that.
