Don’t Be Like He-Man
A few rappers got pulled into the game and they got on the wrong path in life. (addiction, alcoholism, STDs, Etc.)
And some like Nas and Lupe didn't, but after all these years they are still so talented, is that because they didn't live that life? So they were able to remain focused?
Hard to think of considering Lil Wayne.
Anyhow, Not saying it's a good thing but back in the days you had way more positive music but rappers still got into the gang life and maybe died because of it even when guntalk wasn't much of a thing, until maybe NWA.
And it was positive music too, and wild but overall of good quality.
Now it's all about mass materialism, drugs and all kinds of drugs and misogyny.
So the musical environment that today's and tomorrow's rappers are growing up to or "evolving" within, how will they end up once they are Nas, Bid Daddy Kane, KRS1 and Rakim's age.
How/Where will they be then?
