Political apathy is the correct term.

But I think he's ignoring the fact that those wild swings left or right are because the majority are no longer satisfied with the "middle". Those swings aren't just because one side has swung too far.

I think the DNC and establishment(liberal) media apparatus can help unify the different factions of the party.

All they have to do is play fair. Let the progressive candidates and Liberal candidates duke it out fairly. Don’t intercede for the liberal candidates like they did in 2016, 2020 and last year in New York City race.

Using institutional powers to favor one candidate builds real resentment. This is a very simple ask especially when they keep telling us to vote blue no matter who, but the liberal powerful would never agree to this. They view progressives as a bigger foe than they do Republicans.

They promote reaching across the isle when it’s Republicans, but never for progressives. Just look at how Cuomo lost the primary and ran in the general election with the full support of the Democratic establishment.

The party did the same thing to India Walton in Buffalo. Stabbed her in the back after she won the primary. They’re openly hostile to anyone on the left of George bush. There’s the issue. Their leader in the senate announced 10 years ago that his plan was to throw away the working class vote to chase the white moderate that they lost in response to passing the civil rights act and despite it being a strategy that’s proven itself over and over to not work, they keep moving right and berating their base for asking them to actually help the people who vote for them. Let’s blame the voters for not showing up for a party that’s hostile to them though. Surely the party that gives Covid funding to the cops and sends its security forces to beat college students protesting the genocide they’re funding while its leaders go on tv and pledge fealty to a foreign government isn’t the problem here.

:salute:

I forgot to mention India Walton. That was so egregious. I truly belive if a Bernie Sander's candidate was somehow able to win the nomiation, they would sabotage him during the general election.

..and their little minions on HL have the nerve try to shame and lecture us about voting blue no matter who.

They sent their shills onto cnn and espn to claim her lead soviet purge style mass murder campaigns where Central Park would be host of public executions. They claimed a nazi who showed up to a Bernie rally was a supporter of his. Their shills demanded criminal investigations of people who made any sort of complaints or allegations against the people who ran against sanders while openly refusing to vote for him if he won the nomination and even publicly saying the delegates should be prepared to install someone else as the nominee even if he won the primary. They were rather explicit that stopping any leftward movement in 2020 was their chief priority. That’s the answer I got from them anyway.

No one is stopping progressives from running in red or purple districts.

If they can only win blue areas then why are you whining?

What are you talking about? The centrists tried to sabotage Mamdani in NYC. They sabotaged Bernie and India as well.

You lot preach vote blue no matter who, but you don’t practice it.

That’s the problem that grows resentment. Then once you lose, people like you spend all your time bytching and moaning.

Its vote blue depending on who, it's been obvious for some time and that type of leadership leads to people sitting out on the margins

Anyway

People sit out elections because various reasons, it's been happening since forever happens to both parties. Low informational voters have to have reasons to come out, typically it has to do with some sort of economic based change or human capital improvement

This a stupid talking point you got from a banned poster. Stop using it, it's silly. Furthermore we just seen a progressive run in Tennessee
