Why shouldn't the Bengals trade Dalton and start McCarron?

Breh...We don't know what we have in Dalton...Lets hold off on these theories until AJ starts these few games.

Now we're going to see if I was right and McCarron can fill in for Dalton. Dalton can bring in at least 1 first rounder. Look how many 1st rounders Alex Smith was worth. Smith is worse than Dalton.

:mjlol:. It'd be hard to get a 4th rounder for Dalton. But you never know :mjpls:

Trade away a QB who has led his team to the playoffs every year that he's started in the league? Sounds like a good move. :skip:

And yet they never make any noise in the playoffs.

The truth is that Canelo Dalton is holding the Bengals back. Every time he faces good competition, he fails to step up.

The Bengals have a very good team so they're basically a local to make the playoffs every year. But as long as Canelo Dalton is at the helm, they'll never get over the hump

They only can get rid of him if they know for a fact that they can find a better replacement. I don't think Marvin Lewis wants to take any gambles.

Because that would finally get Marvin Lewis fired.
sometimes i wonder what it would really take...for a black coach he's gotten the most chances ever. he's had almost every possible thing go wrong during his tenure, but still managed to turn the team around and make some noise

I'm not a Dalton fan at all but he was actually playing real well up until the injury. It would have been interesting to see if this could have finally been the year he broke through.

No I see what you're saying, it makes total sense to trade away a QB that finally looks like he took the next step in his development for an overachieving 5th round draft pick.

:snoop:

Also, they will never fire Marvin Lewis, he will either leave (which he won't do) or retire. Dude has proven that he knows how to turn troubled players around and that he knows how to surround himself with good assistants.
