My homie and his friends were going to a party tonight. When i got back to my place from getting my haircut he hits me up and asks if i want to come through. I say yeah. So as im walking to get over to the place i just end up not feeling like going out late partying getting drunk when i got work in the morning. (Im more focused on making moves and whatnot) i said to them saying dont wait for me. Dude accuses me of ducking him. I said i was busy all day (which i was) and said im tired and dont want to go out tonight. Dude says "fine...you're not allowed to come over to my place anymore" (and all of my other friends live there too).

Im like :dahell: really breh? Its not that serious.

Says i wasted his time waiting for me.

I got love for my homie man but dude takes things way too seriously sometimes. They about partying all the time. Im not anymore really.

No it wasnt. At all. That's whats messed up about.

Its like damn...the older you get you sometimes just dont want to be going out all the time. Like all he does is go to the bar. His parents are loaded dude is a lawyer he pretty much just chills all day and goes out at night like 5 nights a week.

he's probably at a roadblock in life I guess. He's probably not satisfied with anything and has no real direction. He probably is just upset at himself because he's stuck where he is and you (his friend and probably other friends) are making moves and are moving on. He doesn't want to get left behind.

These are just a bunch of "probably's"

But I say fukk it and let the dude sulk. Can't hold his hand. Time for him to grow up.

Stay the hell away from people like this. He's going be cool until he has out grown all of it and when its all said and done, he will probably move on to a different crowd and enjoy his money. While everyone that wasted all their time chilling with him will probably be broke trying to get their life on track, on some last minute shyt, but by then its too late.

Come to think of it you should set him up. :demonic:

some people like to see you doing good, but not better than them i suppose :yeshrug:
This is so true.

I know my fair share of friends that acted toward me weird when i was making some moves.

When i got a job working selling insurance this summer i had some people in my circle try to say it was a bad idea and be condescending when i told them how much i was making...cause before i was working a shytty job and was pretty broke and they were feeling a bit of superiority over me because of it. Then that happened and it seems like they were feeling some type of way (shouts to rhq)

Luckily when i opened my store in manhattan for this fall they were more supportive so i basically have just been on good terms with em.

Lol. Im sure he wasnt serious just drunk on his way to a party in BK.

But yeah...my circle of friends extends from hood cats to so called hipsters and moneyed millenials so i have exposure to what you are saying first hand.

Happens a lot when you put yourself first.

Why should you feel bad when everyone else does it?
I guess you're right.

Ive just been more focused on being a professional nowadays. And actually attempting to be a full time businessperson. I spent too much of my 20s being irresponsible and not caring about the future just what was infront of me.

My closest friends are pretty much the same. We have been trying to be prolific and be professionals not even on a job/work level but more on an entrepreneurial level.

Like i havent gone out to drink at the bar or even party in over three weeks. Just work and go home. I got too many plans i want to execute and partying just gets in the way.

I feel like i need to cut off some people in my circle.

Its cool to party...but ive been around way too many people in my lifetime where all they want to do is party get drunk get high all day play video games and then rinse and repeat.

Its like i feel my generation is weird because there are way too many people just trying to not do anything with themselves...or just delay adulthood on some never grow up shyt?

Your priorities are changing and some people don't want to see you do better. Maybe him uninviting you to his house is a chance for you to surround yourself with better like minded people.

When you know better you do better... and you are on the path to doing bigger and better things.
