Why the hell do we want Bad GM's to ruin good players careers?

If a great player is on your team and the GM's is not getting the talent around the guy how long does that player stay until he had enough? 7 years is it if you cant get that guy a team that he can win with or a 2nd option(Because we all know your shoot not gonna fall in every game you would have to be in GOD mode) Why is it that player have to suffer you cant get your youth back...
