Why wasnt El Debarge w/ 50 Cent - The Format pushed as a single?

That album was probably the best R&B album that year.

I see why the song w/ Faith got the nod, but they should've at least pushd another single.

But then again, even though the song is hot, they're not about to let a near 50 year old singer on urban(aka teen) radio. And the adult R&B station isnt gonna play it b/c it has rap in it.

Sounds like a straightup crossover hit to me.. dont see why they had to wonder so much about individual demographics. Could be the case though!
