I mean people said his career was over, he was flabby and sick, had no buzz, TM103 was gonna flop:yeshrug: No way he was gonna outsell ross etc

Then he drops the album it debuts number 3 with 200,000 plus sold and he gets a gold plaque:leon:

People underestimate "core" fanbases. That bein said if he dropped another album this summer I doubt it would do as well, he had to put it out during Holiday rush to boost that shyt up :manny:

It was all the pushbacks and the struggle singles...the album was pushed back like a year and half from the original release date (june 2010)...and after Lose My Mind slowed down, he put out a gang of songs that didn't catch on...while during that same time Ross put out Teflon Don (which actually did outsell 103), a couple of impactful mixtapes, and developed MMG into a top ranking rap label/camp...the perception was that Jeezy was looking like 50 Cent out there, then you throw in the beef with Ross and it had people thinking he took his spot...103 finally dropped and was successful though, and that was the end of that

Because rap fans are fickle and everybody jumped on Ross nuts..

I can't front like as a Jeezy fan I wasn't a lil worried about all the push backs and label politics and shyt. But as far as the music goes I knew it would be solid once it was released.

With that "Its the world" mixtape that dropped right at the end of last year and features he been doing this year, I think Jeezy is doing just fine..

Because messageboard nikkas are horrible A&Rs. They think the least relevant songs/artists will do numbers based on how many whips they hear a song blasting out of or how many nikkas in their hood like a mixtape. "Buzz" has replaced actual relevancy.

People underestimate Jeezy's n TI's influence and fanbase in the streets. Jus cuz them nikkas aint dressing in goth and doing illuminati signs in they videos the average net nikka thinks they are not relevant.

what are the numbers for gfid...580k or something. Jeezy did 700k with tm103 without the buzz that mmg has.

The interesting thing though is that Jeezy had singles on the album that were #30 and like 3-4 #50 singles consistently over weeks.

So I mean he still had fairly successful singles, not enough top 40 maybe but still just behind.
And not to mention street/club bangers that didn't do well commercially like Supafreak and way to gone.
