This has bugged me out since learning about the Mayan Pyramids when I was like 13, I mean these things are everywhere and some of them even predate the Egyptian Pyramids

These are civilizations that shouldn’t have had much contact with one another so why was this structure so widely used and for what purpose researching this a lot of them seem to have had precise astronomical and geometrical significance specifically the Egyptian, Mayan and Mauritius Pyramids interesting stuff

. But seriously i have always wondered how cultures that never interacted with each other for thousands of yrs still managed to build structures that were very similar. My guess is they used hills or mountains as a model for building Pyramids
