Real talk.
A lot of us re not happy with elected officials and candidates that came up for election. Any position, Congressman, Senator, state governor, etc. I don't care if you are Democrat, Republican, independent, the elected officials just aren't great.
And, we all have our opinions on how you "could" do better.
But, the reason you don't want to run for a political office is because candidates who go on the ballot get scrutinized by the opposition and they will have people look for skeletons in your closet.
If you are running as a Democratic candidate, the Republicans will look for skeletons. If you are a Republic candidate, the Democrats will look for skeletons. It's a game. Now, you have to be prepared to handle accusations or actual facts.
Once they dig up a gem, your game is over. They will discredit you and even embarrass you and pretty much end any future political aspirations.
