At first I hated reddit because of that damn layout...

Let's get something straight, though: that r/******s is just a small, minor subreddit of 3,000 members. Reddit's main sections (r/pics, r/videos, r/gaming, r/funny, etc.) each have over 2 million members; so r/******s doesn't represent the majority of reddit

There are thousands of subreddits for many different types of subjects, and that just happens to be one of them

Although......it's unfortunate that they didn't shut down that subreddit, even though they recently shut down all the subreddits that dealt with 'jailbait'-type pics (after it was reported by CNN). I understand pics of underage girls is different from racist images, but still......
