If punchline rapping is what you call lyrical, then bar for bar, Fabulous, Lloyd Banks, Jada Kiss, Pusha T, Lil Wayne and many more are all on the same level as Biggie...
Dude was popular because of his cadence on the mic...The way he said things...
Because when you actually read the lyrics, it's easy to tell he was not on a Canibus type of level of writing...
It's the same with Pac and many more of our favorites...If you were to read their lyrics, be honest, they are not all that compared to other rappers of the same tier...
Our favorites, for the most part, are our favorites because of the way they said what they had to say, not necessarily because what they had to say what head over shoulders above their not so popular peers...
