I'm not even that sure about the Tibet situation but I remember it's got something to do with the Dalai Lama switchin up on us and going to the west? Something about him be a traitor or whatever. The separatist movement in Northwest China is because the Muslims there are feeling suppressed. We set rules for them to live in our country, and they wanna run their own little thing. Like most Muslims in most countries they basically wanna be autonomous. In China, that's basically impossible. The UK might bend over (I lived there for nine years.. seen it happen and experienced it. The ones I met and chill with seem so chill tho) and take it but China is unfortunately much less lenient. Name one country that hasn't stolen land, or claimed it as their own? It was possible that the land belonged to China before, and they're taking it back. If not, that's just classic muscling. I don't agree with it, but the boss of China ain't gonna his ears open to me

It is true. Islam does not support terrorism. In theory. yet you have many 'scholars', who in many people's eyes are the embodiment of Islam, openly supporting this type of behaviour. Most Muslims aren't like this, but they are the ones who keep silent. It is the radical ones who receive all the attention, all the press - tell your boys to fukking chill.
Isn't there scripture advocating violence and death against non believers or infidels? I know alotta religious people like to pick and ignore certain things so I won't be surprised if you can't come up with anything, but..

they arent ethnically chinese why shouldnt they have autonomy. They were part of the ottoman empire at one point. they arent ethnically or culturally chinese. Stripping them of their culture and way of life and forcing them to conform is sick. If you agree there's classic muscling then how am i supposed to feel bad that china tasted the same fate at the hands of more powerful nations. Well.. on one hand, you're right. Stripping them of their identity does suck. As a neverendingly curious person I am always fascinated about different cultures. BUT.. As much as I don't like it.. the Chinese government has claimed their land. And they are either gonna assimilate, or will be forced out (which I don't agree with).
Classic muscling happened on wide scale all around the world breh, every nation has both suffered and done it themselves. In a perfect world, they'd be allowed to develop their own little nation with complete authority. It's just the Chinese have a strong arm. Talk with a military superpower? France can take to Britain. A small ethnic group cant talk to China,come on. Its the same government that is forcing assimilation. You cant negotiate with your transgressor unless your of near equal strength or have some massive leverage. If these governments were ever down to talk i doubt anyone would jump to violence against a much larger much stronger force. You might as well just co sign the current crackdown there and be real about it

Nah.. I don't agree with the crackdown. There should be rules they have to conform to but the rules are literally morphing them into something else, losing valuable historical identities.
At the end of the day I can only hope they don't get deported or killed en-masse.
Perhaps.. if the world was focused on their struggle, it might help. But that won't happen. 2000 fukking children died at the hands of Boko Haram but nobody covered it in this corner of the world. Nobody believed me when I told them 2000 poor innocent people died in Nigeria.
