Wiley University has suspended all campus activities due to a credible email threat, prioritizing safety as it works with the FBI and local police.

MARSHALL, Texas — Wiley University in Marshall says all campus activities have been suspended effective immediately due to "a credible threat of violence."
In a statement released Thursday, the university said the threat came in via email and the safety of students, faculty and staff is their top priority. Wiley said its leaders are collaborating with the FBI and the Marshall Police Department.
"As we navigate this critical moment, we request that all members of the campus community limit movement across the university grounds until further notice," the statement read.
The university asked anyone with information related to the threat to contact Wiley University Public Safety.
