Both the USA and China made terrible decisions when it came to this virus. China wasn't upfront about the severity of the virus. And the Trump administration downplayed the virus during a pivotal moment where we had the opportunity to mitigate the spread of the virus. Both nations dropped the ball and are playing a dangerous blame game that will result in increased hostilities.

China needs to be held accountable for sure. However we must be very careful about how we approach this. I can forsee the Trump administration taking a hawkish militaristic stance towards China to scapegoat their failures. I don't think it is wise to sleep walk into a greater and more dangerous crisis.

What do you guys think?

Yeah what an amazing idea, let's just deal with this with more war and destruction and death, I'm sure the Iraq, syria, Libya, Afghanistan war stopped terrorism in its track and did not produce groups like ISIS. While we are at it, let's just go to civil war while corporations get trillions of dollars in bailout off the backs of taxpayers and our future kids kids kids.

Once the smoke clears...anger and animosity is turning straight to China. Their cover-ups and misdirection has contributed to a historic disaster.

"0 cases...":duck:

At ground-zero, in the midst of a global pandemic...:mjlol:

China is definitely in for a day of reckoning.

You do realize what an outright war with China would mean for all sentient beings on planet earth, right?

Something is going to go down. What I don't know. I hope it's not war. If anything things will start with economics. I do think we're going to see companies pressured to slowly move their manufacturing out of China. How many will, I don't know. Maybe sanctions?

Agreed. An actual war is stupid. Countries weaning themselves off from China is definitely on the cards.

The issue is that things, mostly luxury good I imagine, will be more expensive for us here in the West. Are people ready for that? That's assuming they move manufacturing back out here.

If they move the manufacturing to Africa or South America they may be able to keep the cheap expenses, which would be in their business interest. The issue is political instability in those countries.

Wouldn't be surprised to see the West "lend troops" to get rid of "insurgents "in the area and install a new government so they can have their good manufactured for cheap in peace.
