Mustard doesn't add anything unique to the game. Generic 808 drums, cheap synths, "learning piano 101" melodies, DRUM AYE CLAP AYE DRUM AYE CLAP drumlines everywhere. Anyone can do that, and WILL do that. Dude is easily replacable, just like Lex Luger's bum ass was.

The thing with mustard is he is releasing an ALBUM, lex, mikewill etc etc have only done mix tapes right? mustard is one of the new guys that atcully get to release an album, i think thats why he thinks he will be here for long

not with that repetitive sound he does for all the songs he produces

it's one thing to have a distinct sound but it's another to produce songs that sound so much alike you can't tell the difference between them

Mustard is well aware that people are already tired of "his sound" but it remains to be seen whether he can re-invent himself.

I'm interested to see what Mike Will has cooking because his original "sound" got over shadowed by the Mustard/LOS/P-Lo sound.

the reason people like mustard can't produce a diverse body of work is because they're only marginally talented - if that. they don't have the skill of a kanye or a primo or a pharrell. they just aren't that versed in musical composition, which is why their music sounds hot for a few seconds but soon dies because of how hollow and repetitive it's revealed to be.
