yea you right school me on ruffnation who else did they have?

all i can remember off-hand was the group, no question. they shouldve been a top-tier male r&b group for the new milenium era.

i dont know who dropped the ball, whether it was ruffnation or warner brothers. i just remember the promotion for these art*tsts being atrocious.

for what its worth, somebody used to try to tell me that ruffnation & ruffhouse were the same people......but they also said that they were connected up with ruff ryders, so i just brushed it all off as nonsense.

:rudy: this is your argument? :laff: :usure:

:deadrose: :deadmanny: :dead:

2 chainz is damn near a superstar....gillie aint even buzzing on da street :scusthov:

2chainz obviously has secret money behind him and was blatantly pushed to be where hes at. if you cant see that, then i dont know what to tell you.

with that said, nobody is going to do what 2chainz did unless they have some shady chit going on behind closed doors. i wouldnt even want my name to be synonymous with that dude.

dudes have no clue how many deals gillie & major figgas turned down.

dont compare him to no dam 2chainz.

major figgas couldve been the original philly squad on Rocafella. :ehh:

Im kinda 50/50 on that...on one hand, they were offered bullshyt....on the other hand, they didnt look at the big picture and think about the long run and how that coulda been a good look for them.

Gillie is never blowing up....dudes prime was in the late 90's for fukks sake

yea, but hey, gillie is living better than everybody in state property.

sidenote: not saying that theyre better, but the figgas wouldve grossed more money for the label than state property. they had alot more appeal to the mainstream.

and yea, i used to think spade was better than gillie but gillie just had that "it" factor.

:childplease:

noone in the figgas is better than Beans, Freeway, Peedi Crakk, or Young Chris.

From a fans standpoint, it worked out for us.

Everybody that rap isn't tryna be a super star. He says he's getting money with acting and I've seen him in movies and network station interviews so, maybe he's where he wants to be.

Sometime its more beneficial to get a larger slice of a smaller pie than a tiny slice of a big pie. We all know rappers are more famous than they are RICH...:usure:

@Demon

i wouldnt go that far. gillie & spade are better than all of them minus beans. but i do agree that state property was better than the figgas overall.

i was just saying that major figgas were more marketable.

They are connected the one guy from ruffhouse started ruffnation. Maybe the figgas album didnt age well but I listened to it a while back and its :sadbron: status. Maybe the promotion wasnt there cause the album wasnt good?

what about ruff ryders?(serious question).

album was cool, but it wasnt hot like their other stuff.

it was better than alot of the stuff that was going multi-plat that year tho. and "yea thats us" was a nice lil hit. couldve been way bigger.

lol. off-topic but i still remember watching the arena bowl, and homie in the endzone was hollerin "yea thats us".
