At the very least you could have let the cavs team suffer as they were. nikkas was looking like first round exit until you helped them fill out a core that could make them an issue for whatever team you put together.

I agree that Durant (having made the finals and being a former MVP) does have the same burden, but I also think that it's fair for Melo to be in the conversation as well.

1. LeBron
2. Darko
3. Melo
4. Bosh
5. Wade

All of those guys have rings. Dwight, Durant, and Curry will have all been to the finals and gotten a shot.

Didn't he essentially demand his trade to NY too? :ld:

Funny how 3 out of those 5 had to team up to win, and the other sat on the bench all season.

give melo wade bosh ray allen kyrie and kevin (not just shump and jr) and He wins a ring
You guys are comparing apples and oranges here
Carmelo has never played with an Allstar in his prime and spent most his career in the western conference. If he got drafted to Detroit you telling me he wouldn't have a ring :francis:
He just has very bad luck
