I’m not sure this was expected to be an opening weekend box-office draw. If anything, it’ll be a slow burn. W/ word of mouth regarding Will’s performance continuing to draw viewers as the weeks go on. In addition to the bump it’ll get during awards season I’m sure. Similar to that of Parasite or Nomadland.

In this particular case, this movie was never going to be this big box office draw and I don't get why people thought otherwise. It was never marketed that way. As another another poster said. It's a drama meant for Oscar season and don't movies don't make bread like that in theaters.

I imagine its bigger on HBO max and will continue being so throughout the week. He's more concerned with the potential oscar anyways though

Will is too big of a star to be doing movies like this. This should have gone to an up and coming actor. Not sure why he picks terrible roles so often.
