Something that started with the Nixon era and got cemented in the Reagan era is that a whole lotta black people started to invest in the corrosive American capitalist “if it makes money, it’s excellent” doctrine. Add in the the influx of immigrant blacks raised on the same bullshyt music video and radio culture as CACs, so they have a nostalgia for ja rule, will smith, coolio etc. - all the absolute payola and sellout garbage nikkas who grew up in the culture were clowning in real time… and I don’t mean this in that ADOS tether FBA way because that shyt is so stupid to me… but it’s okay to admit when a nikka is a doofus and to stop rooting for rich people and their goofy ass spoiled ass insipid kids who wouldn’t spit on you if you were on fire. Will Smith is and has always been 3/4 of a clown. His best rap - which none of his most devoted defenders even reference - was affable class clown shyt. By the time we get to Big Willie Style he’s making glossy pop rap skittles for CACs. He has so many embarrassing songs and albums it’s shameful. His kids are embarrassingly vapid and entitled dipshyts. His wife has no respect for him. He’s in the midst of a midlife crisis because no matter how fortuitous his breaks have been, he feels like a fraud and has a perpetual need to trick the masses into tricking himself into believing he actually is super cool and some sort of genius… but the tragedy of the human condition is you can never trick yourself, so you keep having to chase the high of tricking everyone else into believing in your fraudulence. It’s what pulled this joker up to the stage to smack Chris Rock, and what tricked Drake into deciding that as a suburban Toronto jew he should dig in and slug it out with a nikka from Compton… Will can barely fukkin act, man. This dude isn’t some historical Civil Rights icon. It’s okay to admit he makes gay ass loser music and is an ultra rich goofy. You don’t have to retcon his career like he was Rakim because he made Summertime and was in a sitcom you watched as a kid. He’s a deeply insecure narcissist, and that never ages well. mib2 is definitely one of will's low points, but he redeemed the character in mib3

i swear to god a friend of mine had me feeling crazy because he felt mib2 was the strongest of the 3 and ive been telling him for years i have no desire to see that shyt again. ill rewatch the first and third all day, but the second is mib international tier levels
