2016 playoffs - lost in the first round to the T'Blazers (series was 2-2 with BG and CP suffering injuries - out for the remaining games)
2015 playoffs - lost in the second round to the Rockets (up 3-1 and choking away the series: up 19 points near the end of the 4th quarter of Game 6 at home, and were outscored by 40-15 in the 4th quarter by a lineup that didn't include Harden)
2014 playoffs - lost in the second round to the Thunder (in a position to take a 3-2 series lead before Paul choked away the game in the last 17 seconds by turning the ball over twice and fouling Westbrook on a 3-pt shot - Thunder end up winning by 1 point - )
2013 playoffs - lost in the first round to the Grizzlies (went up 2-0 and then proceeded to lose the next four games)
2012 playoffs - lost in the second round to the Spurs (swept by the Spurs 4-0)

Do Chris Paul and Blake Griffin have what it takes to lead this squad to the Finals this season or will they come up short just as they have done for the last 4-5 seasons?

I have no faith in the Clippers but front court wise the Clippers could give GS a run for their money. GS's biggest weakness is rebounding and interior defense and the Clippers have the players to exploit it. But the Clippers don't have enough fire power to make a run honestly. If the Clippers can make a trade for Rudy Gay, Melo, or any wing player that can give you 15+ points a night, then they could make a run.

No. Their problems are

1. They have no explosive athleticism and creativity at the 2 or 3.

2. Their two best players are 1B guys pretending to be 1A guys

3. Their third best player can't hit free throws at crucial moments

I personally think Houston is better than LAC :manny:
Paul and Blake don't pretend to be 1A ya'll just assume they are. It's well known neither of these dudes like to be aggressive offensively.

Since you're a Clippers fan, is it reasonable for one to suggest that CP3/BG aren't built to lead this team to the Finals this season based off what they've shown (or lack thereof) over the the last 4-5 postseasons?
