I still don't buy the "pay off." I'm stuck at the crossroads with this situation.

He's obviously the most over guy in the company; even right now Cena is secondary. No one gives a shyt about Orton and Tista.

I'm thinking this might happen:

DB beats Trips with help from Punk or interference (we all know Trips isn't going over clean :heh:). Either:

A. He wins the title.
B. Tista wins which leads to a feud between DB and him in a David vs. Goliath thing.

IF B happens, let's hope DB wins the belt on Raw or the next PPV. E needs that face as a champ.

still see him losing vs Trips but maybe Mr. H does the right thing and puts a young guy over. he'd win huge points with me on that one.

wouldnt be mad if Bryan wins Vs H and loses the title match though. at least he'd still be feuding for it moving forward. he has years to get that great Mania moment, but at the same time, this could be that moment

Probably. I doubt Vince and the E gave Tista a guaranteed title win at mania. shyt just sounded like dirtsheet fodder tbh, but I do see Tista winning the title just in time to promote his movie that comes out in August.

if he does, he'll probably lose it on the 1st rematch...

the question is will HHH let himself lose in 18 seconds to keep Daniel Bryan fresh for the main event :heh:

I think they'll pull a Terry Funk with him. I can picture an injured Daniel Bryan joining in the middle of the title match after HHH destroyed him with the sledgehammer after losing to DB via quick pin or something.

I think they'll go all in with the underdog stuff. He should get the title and he'll probably get it at this point, but Bautista stealing his win wouldn't be a disaster imo.

Ultimate Warrior should come out to shoot on HHH and show the video of him beating HHH at mania back in the day and Bryan sneaks in for a roll up pin while HHH is distracted...during his celebration Trips comes in beats him a bit with the sledgehammer and Warrior comes in for the save

then there is doubt as to whether bryan comes out his music plays in the main event but he doesn't come out until mid match and they build up to some sort of epic finish

The internet would fukking explode.

The question at this point should be, who should tap/take the pin?

The HHH match should be a long one that ends in a small package n/h

He'll prolly win the title at Mania and then lose it at the next PPV to Batista, cause you know Tista's gonna win it for the promotional tour for the GoG movie. That's the best way to please both sides give them the win at Mania, have Tista win in the next month.

While it would make perfect sense for them to do so and it would cap off some of the greatest long term booking the history of pro wrestling

The answer is no. We've been conditioned to be cynical with Bryan, it's hard to truly believe he`ll ever get that title even though we all know one day he will.

Option A: DB beats HHH, we get that stadium-sized YES celebration, Batista wins the triple threat (pinning DB), DB beats Batista sometime later.

Option B: HHH wins.
