I was thinking about upgrading, I should probably hold out until the new Pros come out this year, anyone think Beats by Dre will be included?

Most likely... if they do a merger why not? Maybe it will be imbedded in the laptop speakers?
Im glad I held out on getting a new macbook imma hold out for a lil longer now

It's been two years . . finally gonna upgrade. Was hoping for a new version in June but it looks like the reports are saying it will come later this year in October
The thing is . . I need to upgrade now, but I don't want to pay top dollar for a laptop that will be refreshed in just a few months. Plus this new MacBook Pro is going to have a whole new generation of Intel processor in it and perhaps a 4K display

Actually for the next few months if you're a student they come with a wireless set of beats. I got Pell Grant money coming back to me. I'm gonna pick up a maxed out 27" imac 5k in July.

If they drop they new iMacs with thunderbolt 3 this year I might just wait then and cop the new model.
I'm not interest in Macbooks.
The macpros look dope but it's hard for me to justify that price.

I copped my imac 5k last September and got free beats wireless studios...
the imac is dope and still holding up with no issues...that screen though??

It's been really good to me and still runs like a beast.
I run pro tools 10 without a hiccup, logic x and final cut pro as well.
The thing is, this generation imac had a defect that caused the LCD to have a smokey looking screen.
Mine was one of those that was affected unfortunately. Not only that, 2 out of my 4 USB ports don't work.
It still runs incredibly. It's just time for an upgrade though, and with the money I'm getting back from school the timing is perfect.
I need some thunderbolt ports too. The new studio equipment I'm picking up needs thunderbolt.
