The Bucs went a disappointing 5-11 in 2017, largely because the defense ranked dead last in Total Defense.

The offense, however, ranked 9th in Total Offense despite a somewhat subpar season by Mike Evans (just 5 TDs) and a backfield that was inconsistent and lacking in talent (Peyton Barber led all rushers with 423 yards)

While there’s clearly room for Winston to improve as he heads into his 4th NFL season, he needs some help (hold your Lebron jokes, lol)

Tampa lost 5 of their last 6 games by a combined 29 points, including 3 games in a row by 3 pts (Detroit, Atlanta, Carolina).

So let’s hear it, coli experts.
Is there any hope?
How will the Bucs do next season?

Outside of the divison games we play the AFC North, the NFC East, the Bears and the 49ers

Depending on the draft and FA, I can see us going 8-8 to 11-5, but knowing our luck, we go 10-6 and don't make the playoffs.

Jameis has improved every year lil by lil, I expect that trend to continue and he'll prolly throw 10 or less interceptions. If he continues to take what's given to him, there's no reason why he can't go for 4000-4500 yards, 30-35 TDs, and 8-12 picks.

Its gonna come down to how much Licht can improve the trenches and the run games in the offseason. Those were the 2 main reasons we went 5-11. You can't expect your team to succeed when you're defense gives up the lead in the last minute of games 5-6 times and the run game is so non existent, that teams just send 4 and drop everybody else back cause the line can't hold up.

Koetter has to call a more friendly game cause there was too many times where he called plays where the QB was left with all or nothing passes. If he can keep calling plays like he did the last 5 games of the season, the offense will continue to be one of the better ones in the league, especially in the redzone, this is where fixing the line helps out immediately.

Defensively, Mike Smith gotta stop having dudes play 10-12 yards off people and actually try to scheme around his players.

Licht gotta grab at least 2 OL, 2 Pass Rushers, and possible 2 RBs this off season that can play immediately.

:ehh:

Quality posting.
I can’t root for Jameis as I’m a Canes fan.

:pacspit:

But I’ll admit he’s shown to be a solid player. :hubie:

I think Tampa has potential.

Every rebuilding team wants to finish at least 8-8.
It's doable.
