I remember being around 11 or 12 years old in the 90s when I was first introduced to this. It wasn't until I ran into a tough middle school that I was exposed to this garbage. You had children who knew all the signs and talked about this crap like it was sports. I'm almost 30 now and its kind of amazing how prevalent this stuff remains to be. There are probably kids the same age I was back then being exposed to the poison now. So the question is will we live to see this shyt die out?

where are you from? i assumed cali and chicago were the only places were gangs were actually serious and legit. philly has no real gangs and the ones in NYC are little nikkas from the projects fighting other little nikkas from other projects. YB's vs. YG's in the Bronx

Mississippi...gangs exist every fukking where...vice lords, bloods, crips etc. were all in effect. I know its probably levels to this shyt and you wouldn't see the same level in a place like Mississippi as you would bigger cities, but these nigs still banging.

You're right that there is no excuse..
however there are reasons for generational ignorance. You'd have to understand the psychology of poverty to know why. Plus there is some unique history in America..... It's foolish to compare one nation and it's people --- to other random areas with different histories and lingering affects.
Sometimes we foolishly look at these random African and Asian immigrants and say..........look at this person blah blah. We ignore the billions of people nearly identical to that one person who was left behind who isn't shyt, isn't trying to be shyt , and never will be shyt. Then we take the best from those billions and compare it to the worst of us. That's some self defeating shyt.
And FYI- most black youth and black people aren't anti-intellectual so that isn't the reason for the poverty. That's a myth. CACS and others aren't any more "intellectual" or motivated in school.

Gangs are a west coast thing. On the east coast they claim streets, projects, and cliques.
And yea I do think gang banging is on the way out. Violent/physical crime is on the decline. Most likely gonna continue to decline as police continue to improve technology. Eventually all crime is gonna be virtual. Will be damn near impossible to commit physical crimes anymore with the cameras and drones everywhere. And once physical crime goes out the door? So will gang banging. Maybe nikkas will start building virtual cliques that do hack bys or something.
