So...lets say you grew up tough, but have come up since then and now live a comfortable 6-figure lifestyle. Will you send him to public or private school? Why or why not?

I grew up in the Caribbean. Education was not only stressed, it played a pivotal role in your social standing. Kids who didn't possess an academic affinity were forced into trade schools.

In this country, everyone is entitled to an education. Unfortunatel, the majority of the services offered are trash.

Here in Philadelphia we are setting up for a new mayor. All the candidates would like to kids to have a great pre-k. That has a zero chance of happening. The candidates are just trying to piggyback off the success of the Tom Wolf campaign.

To make a long story short: I support public education. My kids will like them to finish up their tenure in the same place they started.

I'd consider private school potentially at the elementary level but would prefer public school thereafter, specifically high school. I'd want my child to get the grades necessary for post-secondary education and competitive marks are tougher to achieve in private schooling.

two sons in private.

one in Montessori.

cheapest is my two year old....10,600/year.

other son isn't in school at all. I want to set him up with a home school network.

I say observe and place then where they Need to be in the environments that will help them the most.........For example, My 6 year old is a genius... not a fake genius but a weird type Real genius that can calculate shyt faster than his 30 year old mother with a MBA----------- So I have him in a school dedicated to develop his abilities with all the other freak of nature kids.

My two year old is a free spirit... so thats why hes in M schools..... just floating around at his pace doing shyt the way he needs it.

ETC

Daughter... in a cac school... and it's public. She is gonna be wealthy eventually .... all of everything goes to her, so I just want her to do a few years there.. then private, then whatever else. A woman needs that adaptability and certain skills.
I hate her school tho....... and those cac boys ALREADY trying to be her friend n shyt. She giving out hugs n shyt.
But she is the most PRo black out of my kids. idk how... but she is and we never spoke to her about that type of stuff.

the evils of truth, and love
Private school until they favor a certain skill (instrumental/sheet music, arts, physical fitness etc) then I'll enroll them into specialized training schools. Communication, comprehension and discrenment(spirituality) will be something I teach personally.

I'd do it like that so they have the life they want but also have a grasp of the values I think the need until they are old enough to choose their own way to live.

I want to homeschool my kids. That way we can tailor their curriculum to them. But some of that depends on the school system
