Depends on the religion. If it's Christianity, then prevailing wisdom says you wouldn't have gotten into heaven if you hadn't forgiven him anyway. Yeah, it sucks, but you'd be expected to at least shake his hand in heaven, because any lost sinner that repents is cause for celebration . . . or some shyt like that.
