Did yall know that Wilt Chamberlain averaged more than 48 MPG in a season. Out of all of Wilt's crazy stupid feats that seem impossible like averaging 50 Points per game in a season, Grabbing 55 Rebounds in a game, never fouling out in a game for his entire career, this one is the most impressive. Out of a possible 3890 Minutes Philly played that year, Wilt played 3882. He missed just 8 Minutes total. The only reason he missed those 8 minutes was because he was ejected from the game. None of today's load managed creations could last a season without ever taking a break.

Wilt averaged 46 Minutes Per game for his career. When he was 36 years old, he played all 82 games at 43.2 MPG. The Greek Freak, the alleged Modern Day Wilt, once averaged 30.4 MPG in a season where he won MVP. He would pass out if he was required to play the load Wilt played.

Not only was Wilt playing 46 Minutes per game, he was playing all 82 games in an era where they used to play Back to Back to Backs while traveling in trains. When Wilt scored 100 points in a game, that was his 16th game in 23 days. A span where he averaged 55 PPG and had 7 different 60+ Point games. Nowadays, players are bytching if they have to play 2 games in 3 days.

In the playoffs, Wilt had 5 different postseasons where he averaged 48 MPG. Wilt's career Playoff average was 47.1 Minutes Per game. Joel Embiid plays just 34 minutes per game in the playoffs. If he wants to be a winner, he needs to force himself to stay on the court for his team.

impressive but players of today move around a lot more. Just getting that outta the way before some retards come in here tryna shyt on Wilt
Let's see how well today's player "move around" if they had to wear Chuck's while playing on a rinky dink court with dead spots that was an ice skating arena the night before after playing 5 games in 5 nights traveling in a train and carrying their own bags to the hotel.

Joel Embiid would tear his ACL every game if he had to play in Chucks.

Impressive that Wilt was that durable.

I think the way to look at it is to appreciate what Wilt was able to endure.

I see no reason to use that as a baseline to bash players today. I’m sure Wilt would have preferred a rest day here and there. I’m sure if he could fly on modern chartered planes with seats for people his size, he’d take that over long train rides.

But it was against plumbers and firemen so who cares
Some of the best NBA payers of all time and supposedly dominant athletes work part time in that line of work

You can do that when you’re playing against taxi drivers and insurance salesmen.
Same goes for this line of work

Couldn't even stay at great hotels as well
