Well lets not act like he didn't average 50 points per game and score 100. If he wants to say such things he can, he earned it, he's the only player it would make sense coming from. Mind you I'm a staunch Celtics fan.

He averaged 50 in 1962 when the lane was only 12 feet across, there were only a couple other Black guys in the entire NBA over 6'9", a lot of the teams he played only had one player over 6'7", and the main offensive plan was to run down the court and through up a shot quick as possible, then run back.

To pretend like he could do anything like that in any other era is ridiculous. He wasn't even averaging 30ppg in the late 1960s/1970s when they moved the lane out to 16 feet and more tall Black ballers who could play defense joined the game.

Wilt was definitely faster than Hakeem... dude ran sub ~49 in the 440 yards in high school which is longer than the 400m and he probably didn't even have spikes and it was on a shytty track with no real sprint training or plyometrics like we have now.

Dude could prolly run 47 in the 400m today at 7'2"
