This is what big tech does. They invent a single product and it blows up and they make boatloads of cash off it and use that cash to buy out everyone else's great ideas and run them into the ground. It's not unique to Microsoft. Big tech isn't full of passionate creators they're full of greedy capitalist destroyers. They get their hands on something and if you get lucky it remains the same but odds are it gets worse and they enshitify it.
Tbh when people were cheering for them to buy ABK I was wondering why they were so pressed to own CoD in the first place. It sells alot but it feels like it’s been a while since it really had the zeitgeist like that.

I know its been over 10 years but the whole yearly thing was such a terrible idea, then again the board probably made the profits they worship, they don't care that they milked this shyt dry, same with Assasin's Creed, I think that Ubisoft being fukking broke at least put a pause in that one.
