Is it accurate to say that Kendrick's Control verse will go down as the seminal event of 2013? At this point the only "event" album left is Mastermind and quiet honestly Ross is trending down..

Every rapper that has released an album since then has had to spend a bulk of their promo run answering questions about the Control verse...

If not that, then what?

I agree with everything

I think Mastermind is going to be a sleeper though much like Deeper Than Rap was in 09.

Dude has Bobby Womack on Maybach Music 5
Another Jay-Z feature on Devil is a Lie

:banderas:

If he puts Nas on the album again :banderas:

Hell no.

Control was internet hype, group think and corniest all rolled on one.
There was no seminal moment in hip hop this year. Just a good year for the genre overall. If anything, it was the year the internet rap fans finally became completely unbearable. But I guess if you're not doing much else and you're that passionate about music, who am I to judge

This is the year that Kendrick has captured the hearts of net hiphop heads in only a way that Nas can.

They have position Kendrick as a beacon of everything righteous in hiphop.

Using him as Juxtaposition the bigger Drake gets

Just like they do with Nas.

So what was the seminal moment in your opinion?
The love affair with the Internet heads and Lamar being similarly to their love affair with Nas

Then factor in the hate for Drake and Jay z

You will notice a pattern

For someone that likes to diss "the internet" (which makes as much logical sense as dissing "the telephone" in 1970) you seem to be really influenced by what their opinions are...
