With the PS5 shortage, and with more sony games coming to PC, am I better off just building a gaming rig

Honestly depends on how much time u spend gaming a week imo. If you game for more than 10 hours a week I’d get a gaming rig. If ur just casually gaming I’d wait for the PlayStation.

I think it's been getting better but it definitely ain't like pre-crypto, pre-covid. I remember reading about people buying prebuilt PCs just to take out the GPU because it was cheaper than buying a scalped card

Go ahead. Once you start playing on PC, you ain't gone want to play on console anymore. It's the reason I haven't purchased a console since 2013. I got mine hooked up to my TV in my living room and I use it for everything.
