I've never seen the film before but I know how much women go on and on about it so I figured I might as well read the synopsis.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Notebook_(film)

Basically a woman meets a man that she likes, certain circumstances beyond their control drive them apart and then she moves on to another man who is basically perfect. She sees the man again after so many years of being apart from him and then basically tells the man that "they're on a break" and she goes off and fukks this guy that she hasn't seen since way back when.Eventually she leaves her fiance for this guy.

So then I was thinking about this and I realized that other movies basically justify cheating in certain circumstances movies such as:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Titanic_(1997_film)

and then there's this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Take_This_Waltz_(film)

I'm not very well versed on romantic films because I'm a straight man, but feel free to come in here and clarify ladies, because to me it seems like cheating is okay so long as the guy is sufficiently interesting and handsome.

Movies where men cheat on women for practically no reason:

Jungle Fever
Derailed
Fatal Attraction

Point is: Stop using movies as a base point for reality/to relate to reality. They are movies for a reason. Live life and stop letting media sway your thoughts so much.

I think what op is getting at is that while what u stated may be true. In contrast to women you do not see man fawning over those movies.

2/3 of those movies are considered classics by (black) men. :bryan: In the end of Fatal Attraction and Jungle Fever we're supposed to feel bad for both main male characters regardless of what they've done.

But that op point exactly. While we feel bad for the characters succumbing to temptations and celebrate him getting back on track with his main alot of women rejoiced on the main characters act of digression breh. And again one should not live they life by movie standards breh u are right.

Edit: only one of those movies is a classic for black people not just black man by the way. And this isn't a racial issue either.

I didn't feel like typing excessively, but Fatal Attraction is considered a classic, period.

Cheating is cheating, no matter if you get back with your main or not. The men in those movies only go back to their mains or consider it when they end up getting fukked over. Not out of some noble act/feelings. It's only because they end up playing themselves.

And most ALL these white romantic comedies follow the same formula. Which is basically rationalizing their own whorish behavior in the guise of "love". I can't remember what the movie was called, but it had Ashley Judd in it, she was married to some dude who died in a plane crash or something, she met another dude who was a stand up guy, polite, hard working, Ect. She marries this dude and then proceeds to treat him like SHHIT for the rest of the Fukking movie until their both like 80 years old and she realizes what a c*nt she's been to the guy all this time. All because he wasn't the first dude who died that was her "true love".

Movies like this leave a bad taste in my mouth as a man, and every movie like this that I've seen with seen in the company of a female I was with, or my sisters/mother and they lap that **** up. And if we discuss the movie afterwards and I bring up how sluttish these
women act, pointing out the obvious character flaws and breakdowns in logic, I'm always
hit with the "WOMEN WANT TRUE LOVE" bull**** like homeboy from The Notebook wasn't
showing this slut "true love" when he was simping something serious while this she was
having long "romantic" kisses in the rain with the other guy.

Romantic movies with black male protagonist seem to sort of reverse this trend, in these movies it is mostly the MAN who is learning his lesson on cheating and being a "dog" and
nobody ever throws the "romance" angle to it. The dude is simply a dog who must be
trained until he "learns his lesson".

Ex. "The Brothers"- Morris Chestnut's wifey was keeping from him the secret that she dated and was sexing down his FATHER before she met him. Kept the secret for LONG AFTER he
had tried to get over his commitment issues and declared love for her. This chick was
going to HIS MOTHER'S home, sipping wine, and getting relationship advice without all this
time having the DECENCY to let them know she had dated the father previously. Dude had
to find out via a goddamn VOICEMAIL. He rightfully dumps her ass (as any man should in
this situation) and somehow, by the end of the movie, realizes that HE WAS THE ONE WHO
WAS WRONG AND HAS TO BEG HER FORGIVENESS SO THEY CAN GET BACK TOGETHER!!???!?? WTF???!?

Ex. "Two Can Play That Game" (The *****'s hand guide to Controlling a Man)
Vivica Fox HAS the perfect black man. Again, Morris Chesnut (in his defining simp role) is
an educated, talented, eloquent, distinguished Lawyer who works for a leading law firm.
They spend the first half of the movie showing all of her friend's trifling ass, stereotypical
black boyfriends (the player, the drug dealer, the one who won't commit) and then
showing how Morris Chestnut is different. She sees him one night out at dinner with a
business partner who happens to be an attractive female, and, instead of giving him the
opportunity to explain himself, decides he needs to be "trained to behave" and invokes
these "rules" to basically play with his emotions and make his life a living hell. Even when
he takes her out, explains the (very plausible situation) and even APOLOGIZES WHEN IT
WASN'T WARRANTED Vivica STILL proceeds to play her "game" with him until ANOTHER
successful, intelligent, and attractive black woman shows genuine interest in him. Even with
this, Morris Chestnut, being the "good man" he is puts up with all of her bull**** until she
basically tells him that she's taking a random white man whom she JUST MET home with
her to sex the hell out of him. At the end of this, she realizes all of her "mistakes" and
attempts a half-hearted apology to Morris Chestnut, who having been properly "trained"
graciously takes her back.

Ex. "Waiting To Exhale"- Two of the four women in this movie complain endlessly about not being able to find a "Good Man" (maybe they should dial Morris Chestnut's number) while carelessly dating and Whoring around with MARRIED MEN basically the entire movie! Whitney Houston STARTS the movie out dancing with a dude who ALREADY had a
date/girlfriend, and then turns around and fukks him and wonders why she got played? She
meets up with a man from her past who is admittedly MARRIED WITH A DAUGHTER and
basically whores around with him the rest of the movie and then gets mad when dude
shows no signs of wanting to leave his FAMILY. She even OVERHEARS this man on the
phone telling his wife and daughter how much he loves them before hanging up and
proceeding to smash her....and this is supposed to be a black woman's movie on
empowerment and romance? The other character Lela Rochon, is getting repeatedly
smashed on the low by ANOTHER MARRIED MAN, and only AFTER she gets pregnant and
he FINALLY DOES leave his wife for her does she decide to "wake up" and dump him? So
the man she was slutting with for months finally gives her what she wants and she takes
his child and basically says "fukk you!"

Ex.Hancock (Simping for the White *****h Vol.1)
Hancock is the worlds strongest man, who is a cocky a$$hole whom it turns out suffers from loneliness, depression, self-esteem issues, and amnesia. Turns out all of this is the DIRECT CAUSE of the woman he was "paired up" with (I.e. Destined to be with by the Gods) was some white broad, played by white woman extradinaire Cherlize Theron, who inexplicably ABANDONED him over 60 years ago AFTER he thwarts an attempt by muggers.
She tearfully explains his tortured past of saving her time and time again, touching EVERY
SINGLE SCAR on his body and recounting The countless times he's saved her life, and like
the cruel ***** she is, left him at a hospital with no recollection of his true identity,
marries and has a child with a random, vanilla salesman, and tries to forget all about him
so that she can maintain her "secret" powers while playing housewife. Hancock gets to risk
his life and be treated like the stupid Niggger the entire time by an ungrateful populace,
who want to lock him with all the criminals HE PUT BEHIND BARS, while this chick sits at
home, making lemonade, and watching the news with a look of disgust on her face at this
Niggger (whose risked his life for her for CENTURIES). when her husband hatches a plan
to change Hancock's image she, of course is against it. Complaining loudly over and over
again what a "menace" and a "barbarian" that the Niggger is. In the end, after saving this
Bittch's life yet AGAIN, Hancock moves away to New York so that the wife and husband
can love happily ever after without his influence.....

Ex. Gone With The Wind (The Simps Blueprint)
Scarlett O'Hara, the Mother of all rich, spoiled, aristocratic whores. The one who started it all. The one who frost gave man a cautionary glance at his pain filled, simping future. This entitled brat, sucks, ****s, sleeps, and WHORES her way through the ENTIRE movie. She betrays her cousin and sister and law by pining for and seducing her husband for upwards of twenty years. Agrees to marry a nice, gentlemanly young man, knowing in her heart she doesn't love him, only because she KNOWS he will die in the upcoming Civil War. Once he does she goes back to pining for her best friend's husband, while Clark Gable tries every simp trick in the book to win her love. Treats her kindly, buys her gifts, listens to her *****hing, allows her to treat the slaves like shhitt, and basically allows her to walk all over him. She then cons ANOTHER man into marrying her for his riches by convincing him that woman HE LOVES ran off, due to her own stupidity, the husband she doesn't love and the man she's been trying to fukk for years go to save her and her husband ends up dead, her best friend's husband ends up handicapped, and she ends up rich. She FINALLY relents to marrying Clark Gable, after years of her guts already being plowed by any dude with a bank account, and he STILL treats her like a goddess until she REFUSES to do her wifely duty and sleep with him, kicks him out of HIS OWN ROOM, and coldly tells him she never loved him. This leads to Clark Gable drinking himself into a stupor until he FINALLY snaps and demands she provide him with sexual satisfaction. After coming to his senses, he apologizes profusely but is cooly denied by this *****h, who is STILL attempting to run away with her BEST FRIENDS husband. Her daughter ends up dying as a result of her mothers inattention which she blames on Clark Gable. In the end when EVERYBODY has basically died, this whore comes to realize that Clark Gable is the last diick left for her worn out vagina and she attempts to make him stay with her. After years of neglect and sexual frustration, Clark Gable realizes that there is other, less maddening puccy out there in the world and leaves her ass behind. The movie ends with Scarlett learning nothing more than that her puccy is like gold and that through it, she "can make him come back someday"...

These movies are about spoiled, decieving, manipulative women who have no problems satisfying their own sexual desires with married men all while expecting that man to leave a family behind for what is basically a jump off becuase they've convinced themselves that through sexing they've found "true love" not realizing that they are one half of the problem. What about the wives at home holding that man down and taking care of his seed while your out slutting their husbands? How are you going to take an educated, strong, intelligent man who is treating you with respect and attempt to break him down to YOUR standards with your "rules" and expect him to stay around? How you gonna straight up fukk a man's father, brother, best friend, and expect him to NOT drop your trifling, whorish asss? Women who look to these types of movies as some type of "romanticized fantasy" are doing themselves a hell of a disservice...

Ex. Great Expectations (Simping For The White Biitchh Vol.2)
Ethan Hawke brings Charles dikkens Simp Prodigy to life in this movie about shamelessly chasing that one woman who completely uses you and makes a fool of you for 90 minutes while women cry and men check their watches. Hawke plays Finn, a young boy who meets a spoiled, rich brat who gives him his first dance and his first kiss. She quickly grows into the richer, more spoiled, and paler Gwenyth Paltrow who gives young Finn a small taste of her goodies before coldly leaving him with blue balls on the evening of the big dance. For SEVEN years he refuses to forget her, moving out to New York with aspirations of becoming a famous painter in order to impress HER. Meanwhile SHE shows up with a fiancé in tow, who promptly berates and embarrasses Finn in front of Paltrow and her friends. She later shows up unannounced to his apartment, strips butt naked in front of him, and channeling her inner "Whore From Titantic" Ancestor, allows Finn to draw her in her clothes-less state. Before Finn can work up the balls to throw on her on the bed and give her the diick he's been waiting for YEARS to pipe her down with, Paltrow throws her clothes on and suddenly leaves, he chases after her and demand to know why she continually plays games with him, her only response being "I was taught this way". Later on, after Paltrow fails to show up at his big art exhibit, Finn blindly rushes off into the night to find Paltrow at dinner with her friends, he takes her back to his apartment and FINALLY loses his virginity (after waiting for 8 years out of LOVE) to Paltrow in a sex scene shot STRICTLY for women over the ages of 35 to grab their hearts and shout "PRAISE CUPID FOR TRUE LOVE"!!. Finn awakes to find that this chick just pity ****ked him and flew to Paris to get married to the a$$hole who had humiliated him earlier in the movie, all WITHOUT am explanation. Years and years later, after this slut has been divorced and left as a single parent by that a$$hole, Finn randomly runs into her, she attempts a half-hearted apology, and Finn, being the world renowned SIMP that he is, agrees to take her back and help raise her own future slut in the making...

It doesn't justify cheating, it "glamorized" it. You know, made it seem less heartless.
