The main thing fracturing them currently is that some of them are getting tired of Israel. There was never any disagreement about how great Kirk was.
I think he's joking about the fact that half of the maga movement is calling the other half the "woke right" for trying to censor anti Israel sentiment.
Kirk was a big part of it, one side is accusing Israel of having Kirk assassinated because he started criticizing Israel a couple weeks before he was killed. They do not believe that story about the Mormon conservative being radicalized by his tranny roommate.
