I quite liked it. The pacing was a bit off but I get what they were going for. I think they could have delved into the loneliness of each person more in a bit more of an indie way for it to come across as what they were going for, with the whole lone wolf theme, cos it was quite an intimate plot that had a larger life backstory and stars within it too so it was hard to find the balance.. I would recommend it for a date night or a friday/sunday night movie.

I ended up enjoying it, but it simply took too long for them to get into some action.

at the beginning, I thought it would be a NYC movie that wasn't actually filmed in NYC because so much of it was in the hotel. but once they left the hotel, I was quite surprised that they really were filming in location in NYC.
Things I liked:
-some of the direction was really clean
-filming locations in NYC
-the opening set up
Things that didn't really work:
-the interplay between the two wasn't funny enough or serious enough, it canceled everything out
-I though when he first was rambling about Armenians or whatever that it was satire of a convoluted action movie, but not.
-The drug storyline dragged everything out
-it's not a serious movie, but much of the climax and character arc asks us to to take it seriously
- it wasn't thrilling or daring or unpredictable enough to be the kind of 90's movie it kind of embodies
-it's almost like parody of a parody of safe writing, safe acting, smoothed over cliches

Finally got around to watching this
Damn good movie. Excellent cinematography and dialogue, funny characters, and good action when it hit (including th ambiguous ending).
Funny how they never revealed the names of the main protagonists.

Good Lord, this shyt was bland as hell. Waste of potential. You get Clooney & Pitt who always play well together, a nice snowy Big Apple backdrop, and this is the best you can do? 
There is barely any tension, and nothing really interesting happens until about 20 minutes is left. And that lil twist was convoluted as fucc. Shyt, I would've appreciated more scenes like the 1st diner one where they were reflecting on aging and lost capabilities where their nuance & chemistry were on full display....cuz the rest of the movie was lacking big time.
