And you dont know Juvenile Court at all.

The courts can legallly garnish up to 50% of your check. You cant live off of that. ( It happens all the time)

They report your CS every month to the credit bureaus. ( Men cant get houses, loans, etc)

Your child is 8 yrs old. You and the mother split. She puts you on CS. The child lived in YOUR house the whole 8 yrs. The courts will put you on back child support for those 8 yrs. Now you 40k in arreage. ( Happens all the time. Not all arrearage is because of non-payment)

Your arrearage now has a compounded interest of 10%.

After this they will revoke your drivers license, business, professional or recreational license.

They will take your passport.

They will take any income tax returns.

Every couple of years she can petition for a review of your finances to see you any increases.

I can go on and on. CS is a dirty game.

Maybe it’s different state to state but in mine they have access to your employer. Child support use to get information from new employers of mine without my consent, in fact I never even told them I had a new job so they probably tracked my w4 directly . I’d be sitting at work and get a random email from HR telling me they have to start deducting my cs and change my insurance policy because cs told them to
I was pissed cause my bm already had insurance and I wanted to pay cs directly thru the site instead of paycheck deductions

just sounds like you don't have your paperwork together or for some reason was avoiding having paperwork that the kid lived with you. schools, hospitals, daycare centers, etc require a physical address on file to where the child and parents live. it's not hard to prove the kid lived at your house for a whole 8 years which would be sufficient proof to deduct from any support calculation because they give you credit for custody/time spent with the kid. you can't just believe "i know a guy who ____" because folks be cappin. dude probably should have hired an attorney, or just walked into court on some "my dog ate my proof" vibes lol. one thing i know is any court is not a game or how it goes on talkshows but many people treat it as such and end up wondering why they lost.
