Actually you do miss out on a lot when you decide to put yourself in restrictive situations.

Your probably talking about sex but there is way more to life that could be explored.

My BF got married straight outta high school and is still married. That was 20+ years ago.

In that time she has had 3 kids, gotten huge, suffered severe depression and had a serious shopping addiction to the point she was hiding purchases from her husband. That's it. She even has the same friends from HS.

In the same amount of time, I got BBA, lived in 3 states, did a tiny bit of traveling, made tons of friends, got 2 different professional certifications, opened several business, have 4 different careers and then learned and currently run a multi-million dollar business.

She literally hit me up last week and told me she was jealous that I went out and experienced life and that I don't have wrinkles. I have never once envied her life. She is in one of the many couples I know that have made realize that I never want to be married.

And all that is contingent on the type of partner you have, how much money is available for you versus being allocated towards the kids, and the type of situations and people are available to you.

Also being married as a man and being married as a woman are 2 completely different experiences.

Men in marriages get free labor he couldn't otherwise afford. Women get an unpaid job and ton more responsibilities.

This isn't true at all, for example if your partner never left they hometown and are afraid to, that would/could cause a huge rift, you may have NEVER realized they were afraid of that kind of change/growth until you brought up the idea

At some point most people are gonna be in a relationship where one of them is stagnating while the other is actively seeking to evolve, shyt happens more often than you think and everyone can't handle their partner growing into something else while they stay the same
