Stassie Greer was charged with murder, robbery, and armed criminal action in the death of Sherae Bradford, 25, a woman he met on Facebook. Police in St. Louis County revealed that the Ferguson, MO woman agreed to have sex with Greer in exchange for money.
A family member went to check on Bradford after not being able to get in contact with her, and they discovered her lying face down, but responsive. The woman suffered a single gunshot wound to her head and she was pronounced dead at the scene once paramedics arrived.
Greer was identified by a witness who saw him entering the apartment complex, and he's now being held on a $1 million cash only bond.
They say the man is mentally ill and has a long criminal record of violent crimes against women.
"We didn't know this until everybody started posting things on Facebook about him. They say they know he did this. We know he did this, my daughter is killed. My daughter is murdered because of this." said the victim's mother Yolanda Seay.
There are surveillance cameras strategically placed around the apartment complex. Family members say major case detectives took the video from the cameras. The detectives have been coming and going from the Ferguson Police Department all day following leads. So far they have not commented about the case.
Family members tell FOX 2 that Bradford was an aspiring nurse and mother of a 6-year-old girl. They say they're glad her daughter wasn't home when she was killed.
