Chatrooms, gaming lobbies, sites like Reddit and other forums help facilitate long distance "relationships" between teens, especially when they're from extremely strict or religious backgrounds. I've come across adult couples who met as KIDS on Club Penguin or Neopets because those were places their parents felt were "innocent" so they left them alone and didn't monitor their activity.

shyt is becoming the norm but it’s because it’s not an actual relationship. It’s people meet online and talk back and forth every day with each other, and call it a “relationship,” when they never actually meet physically face to face. Some of them won’t ever even Facetime one another. You see in this instance they just met playing a damn video game.
