This video is a perfect example of value at work.
If people think you're "Somebody" the whole dynamic of interaction changes.
@ Anyone who tries to deny this sh1t.
Look at how the females were losing their sh1t over this normal dude.
The same thing applies when you're attracting a mate.
A good looking dude will have more of a chance over an average looking dude
but should that average dude exhibit a bunch of qualities that give him more "value" than the other cat, he's gonna pull the girl, especially if there is already a little attraction there.
As far as exhibiting "value" in a way that normal folks can understand.
Let that dude have some sort of important position within his city or work place.
Let that dude drive a nice vehicle or dress nice.
Let that dude have a bunch of friends in a specific social circle where it'll work to his advantage.
If he had a bunch of things to make his value higher than other dudes in the same spot he'd bag more females.
Let me put it this way :
Cee-Lo and Average Dude : Who is getting more chicks?
Lil Jon and Average Dude: Who is getting more chicks?
Flavor Flav and Average Dude: Who is getting more chicks?
Who do you think is pulling more chicks ?
Attach that sh1t to any social circle and that's how it works.
I'm not saying looks don't play a factor but there's no way an average dude could hope to blow out someone of really high social status unless they've already have that girl in some way or other (like if she's your girlfriend or instance)
But some average looking cat ? If that average cat walked to the bar from his V.I.P. table, hanging out with a bunch of people, and generally showing "I'm the sh1t" in some way or other, the handsome guy sitting at the bar by himself isn't gonna get play (if she's attracted to both) or
he'll get play but not to the same extent.
The same thing happens with local rappers who haven't even left their damn city. Extra Average dudes that bag good looking females after peforming on stage for free. The same thing happens when an average looking dude is the star quarterback. The same thing happens when an average looking dude is able to show he's better than his peers in some way or other in specific settings.
The truth is
A lot of women date up but exactly what "Up" is up to the woman, and "Up" definitely isn't always defined as looking good.
I'm not denying that looks are a factor in social interaction when it comes to attracting a mate, I'm just saying
that it isn't the only one.
