I believe there's a African proverb that says "if you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together".
I've definitely found when I'm single I can easily go into beast mode. Hit the gym more often, learn/study new skills faster, go to meetups/networking events more often.
When you're in a relationship you just typically have less time. And you spend time/energy/resources on little shyt the keep ya girl content (which im not saying is a bad thing). Not to mention some (insecure) women start acting funny if they see you're too on your purpose.
So yeah, often times women hold men back

I didn’t watch the video but it’s more like people hold each other back because it’s hard to get two people on the same exact page.
I’ve seen my wife make horrible financial decisions multiple times which caused up to not propel as quickly as I planned. But I’ve seen my best friend (a male) do the same thing and hold his wife back in the same way. So I can’t just say “women hold men back”
